  1. Add a global activity feed for all of wordnik

    Offer a timely feed of all changes made to public parts of wordnik, so people can see what's going on all across the site - and interleave uservoice and other updates if you can get that information at the same time. then I really will never leave.

  2. allow 140 chars for feedback and flutter it

    feedback is the best. make it more prominent if you can, filter up top feedback ideas to browsers, et-c! there are lots of interesting complex trans-word ideas that might be cool for lots of people but only thought of casually by one in a thousand editors...

    Thanks! We’re working on adding more related words, including antonyms.

    How about “bashful” as an antonym of “confident”?

  6. add a Wordnik toolbar for the various browsers

  7. prepositions

    I'd love to have easy access to the prepositions used with the words I look up. To some degree this can be done by searching through the sample sentences; maybe a new preposition feature would be a subset of that data. Or perhaps word/prep combos become their own entries.

  9. clearer user interface for actions on a word

    It was slightly hard to find how to tag a word. Its hidden away in the "contributions" area on the right side, and "Add a tag to this word" is wordy. I would like to see action buttons or links with very short names, like "Tag this" so they jump out.

    In the Tags section when 1 person has tagged the word change the sentence to read:

    Soon we’ll have a way for users to give us feedback on the frequency ratings. Right now we’re fighting a little bug in the statistics counter. It should be resolved soon!

    Thanks for the suggestion! We should have a place for comments about wordnik as a site, and we’ll look into it. For words, you can leave a contribution on every single word right now — click on the “Contributions” link under “Explore this Word”.

    We’d love to do that … we love the OED! We’ll have to figure out how frustrating it would be to users to link to something that costs ~$250/year to access, though.

  18. Change the layout

    There is a lot of information that your trying to put on one page, so I can understand the difficulty, but the layout is a little difficult to follow. Maybe move the stats, I don't think it's as important or interesting as the pictures. You could make the 'explore this word' more prominent and have everything else more spaced out down the page instead of squashed together.

  20. feedback tab

    At narrower viewport widths, the "feedback" tab on the left margin can obscure part of the main body of the page. I see this in Opera 9.63/Linux and Firefox 3.0.7/Linux. Increasing the main body's minimum left margin should fix this.
