An error occurred while saving the comment Lee Davis-Thalbourne commentedDo they have the rights to use OED data? And if they do, how recent is the OED data? That'd be my concern.

An error occurred while saving the comment Lee Davis-Thalbourne commentedThe way the Flickr API works, I'm not sure how well that's likely to work. Flickr tags are words - that's all, really. There's no semantic information attacked to Flickr tags.
With that said, the Arachnophobia page's images being composed of spiders is seriously uncool for people who actually have arachnophobia.

An error occurred while saving the comment Lee Davis-Thalbourne commentedI think it'd be a good idea to keep some functionality of this at least - I think it's useful on some level to know what uses of a word are routinely capitalised or not. If you do make searches case insensitive, I'd strongly suggest keeping the capitalisation information available somehow.

It would be great to have more languages, and we’re all in favor of multilingualism. However, we have a lot of work to do on the English part before we can branch out … but we’ll get there eventually!

The current behaviour is that the pronunciation key expands massively, and the description of the phoneme appears below it. It's a little bit jarring as it stands. Perhaps figure out some other way of expanding it? One that doesn't break the lines of the website?
